The Fermata Club
The Fermata Club is a family friendly facility that offers swimming, tennis and social benefits to members. Memberships are available on an annual basis. The Fermata Club is an equal opportunity employer with a diversified membership. The Fermata Club has been a part of Aiken for 58 years, providing a place for recreation and competitive exercise. Tennis programs are offered year round and the pool is open from May to October. Red Cross Certified instructors offer swim lessons for members and non-members. - Movie night September 1st
That will be the last movie night of the summer.Plan to join us at the grill on September 1 for supper and enjoy a movie under the stars.Let us know what you liked about this summer’s movie nights and make suggestions for family friendly movies for the future.The pool is open for the usual weekend hours, today until 6, Saturday 11 – 6 and Sunday 1 -6.
- Stroke and Turn clinic this Saturday from 8:00am to 10:00am
The cost is $15 per Fermata swimmer and $20 per guest.The clinic will focus on improving technique on selected strokes as well as on turns.Pre registration is preferred. Forms are available on the Fermata Club bulletin board or you may call the pool office and leave a message to join the clinic.New swimmers are welcome.
- Fermata will again be home to the Aiken High School and South Aiken High School Swim teams and will host 5 swim meets in August and September
On the following dates, the pool will close at 4 pm.Wednesday, August 16 ****TOMORROW****Wednesday, August 30Wednesday, September 13Wednesday, September 20Thursday, September 28The teams have been practicing in the morning until school begins to lessen the impact on members enjoying the pool.After this weeks swim meet, South Aiken will begin practicing from 6 – 8 pm Monday thru Thursday and Friday mornings with Aiken High form 5:30 – 7:30 am.Aiken High will continue practices in the mornings from 6:30 – 8:30 am until school begins on Wednesday, August 23. On that date, Aiken High will begin practicing afternoons from 4 – 6 pm, Monday thru Thursday and Friday mornings with South Aiken from 5:30 – 7:30 am.The pool remains open to members during practice times but the diving area may be restricted. 2 swim lanes will be available to members wanting to lap swim and the shallow area remains available for afternoon swimming.The pool will close after the first week of October.
